A Tranquil Haven in the Heart of East Austin
Tucked away in the vibrant Holly Neighborhood of East Austin, the Casita stands as a serene retreat amidst the bustling city life. This 900 square foot backyard cottage, nestled behind a historic bungalow, seamlessly blends old-world charm with modern sophistication, offering a harmonious fusion of past and present.
Drawing inspiration from the neighborhood's eclectic atmosphere, the design of the Casita exudes a sense of tranquility and serenity. Gabled hipped roofs and lap siding pay homage to the historic character of the existing bungalow, while clean lines and contemporary elements infuse the space with a fresh, modern aesthetic.
At the heart of the Casita lies a spacious kitchen, where culinary delights are prepared amidst a backdrop of natural light and lush greenery. Large slider doors and corner windows frame views of the plunge pool, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces.
The interior design of the Casita is a celebration of earthy tones and natural materials. Light fixtures, imported from India, add a touch of exotic elegance, their clay construction echoing the organic textures found throughout the home.
From its tranquil ambiance to its thoughtful design details, the Casita offers a haven of peace and relaxation in the heart of East Austin. Whether escaping the hustle and bustle of city life or embracing the vibrant energy of the neighborhood, this backyard cottage invites residents to experience the best of both worlds.
